Seed Production

Estero S.A. is producing seeds in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay toghether with very experienced partners in each country. This productive base, in four countries with very different climates, different production and technology situations, and diverse social, economic and political situations, enables the company to benefit from the advantages of each country, resulting in a very good option for contracted multiplications.
In Uruguay, Estero S.A. has agreements with various seed processing plants. The company has also agreements in Argentina to clean forage seeds and hybrid seeds. In Brazil and Paraguay the seed processing agreements are for forage seeds.
Both Uruguay and Argentina can produce seed within the international certification schemes; in addition, PBR can be obtained for most of the main crops.

Quality Control

In order to have better control of the seed sold by the company, Estero S.A. has its own seed testing laboratory, with highly trained technicians that work according to the ISTA rules. The laboratory is officially accredited by the INASE (National Seed Institute)
In Argentina and Uruguay it is possible to obtain both Orange and Blue ISTA certificates. From Paraguay and Brazil, Blue certificates can be issued for the exported seed.
